Bahvṛca Upanishad

Devī was one at first; She brought forth the world-egg.

A first slice is open

The Goddess as Brahman and ground of the universe.

The Bahvṛca Upanishad (Muktika 107, Ṛgveda) is a short Śākta teaching. Devī is one at the beginning and brings forth the world-egg. Later units identify Her with Mahātripurasundarī and close with the Ṛgvedic line on the syllable in the highest ether (ṚV 1.164.39 as heard here).

Kādi / hādi vidyā names and the fifteen-syllable encoding are held. The mahāvākya list in unit 7 is opened as Upaniṣadic speech already public in Vedānta teaching.
