उदु त्यं जातवेदसं देवं वहन्ति केतवः । दृशे विश्वाय सूर्यम् ॥
IAST transliteration
ud u tyaṃ jātavedasaṃ devaṃ vahanti ketavaḥ | dṛśe viśvāya sūryam ||
Close translation
The banners bear up that god Jātavedas — the Sun — for all the world to see.

A sunrise ṛk: the ray lifts the visible god — may the world look upon him.

Savitr Gāyatrī is prayer; this ṛk is seeing. Together they keep Sūrya as both light and impeller. At the Ashram dawn recitation joins eye and intellect in one turn toward the east.
