त्वमेव माता च पिता त्वमेव । त्वमेव बन्धुश्च सखा त्वमेव । त्वमेव विद्या द्रविणं त्वमेव । त्वमेव सर्वं मम देव देव ॥

IAST transliteration

Close translation

You alone are mother, you alone father. You alone kin and friend. You alone learning and wealth. You alone are all of mine, O god of gods.

Reader-friendly meaning

A verse of surrender: every human bond named in love is gathered into the One addressed on the seat.

Meenananda editorial explanation
