Principal Upanishads
A teaching circle of thirteen Upanishads held close in this library.
Index only — text still opening
The ten mukhya Upanishads are the set Śaṅkara commented and that Vedānta teaching still treats as first hearing: Īśā, Kena, Kaṭha, Praśna, Muṇḍaka, Māṇḍūkya, Taittirīya, Aitareya, Chāndogya, Bṛhadāraṇyaka. This library adds Śvetāśvatara, Kauṣītaki and Maitrāyaṇīya because they are widely studied companions in the same public conversation — not because a second ‘top thirteen’ has been invented. Other Upanishads remain honoured on the Muktika index.
Another name lives in this circle. Try Gāyatrī, Oṃ, or ṚV.
